The Henry Beaufort School has always aimed to extend its students’ views of the world by helping them to learn and think critically about different cultural, economic, and political perspectives. As such, we work in close partnership with schools across Europe.
The development of our successful partnerships with European schools can be attributed to the British Council funded Comenius Projects. Please click here for the Comenius Archive which gives details of how Henry Beaufort staff and students have worked effectively together with our partner schools both at home, online and during trips abroad in recent years.
At the start of the academic year 2015, we received news that our funding application had been successful and that we would form part of a new British Council initiative called Erasmus +. Our current project- 'New Media-New Methods', allows us to continue to work with our partner schools in Germany, Italy, Spain and Finland both online and during trips abroad. Please click the Erasmus + tab for further details about the project and to read about the trips that we have undertaken so far.
International Links at Henry Beaufort does provide, for some, a valuable means of improving language skills, but it is not primarily an MFL based initiative. We are proud that our funded projects provide any student with an interest in travelling abroad and experiencing new culture the opportunity to do so.
Get involved! Speak to Miss Wilson in L6, or come along to International Links Club every Wednesday afterschool in L6.
