Watch our BBC News School Report

Categories: School News

On Thursday 15th March 2012, Henry Beaufort students took part in this year's BBC News School Report. They had just a single school day to film, interview, edit, and present the news report. We hope you enjoy the final report (below) and appreciate how much hard work went into it from our students.

Each year, Henry Beaufort takes part in BBC News School Report. The scheme, which is run by the BBC, gives school students an opportunity to film, script, and edit their own news reports about subjects that matter to them.

Our state-of-the-art Media Suite here at the school enables our students to use a range of high quality equipment and the latest editing software to put together their reports.

Students who take part in BBC News School Report are able to gain a wide range of skills; not just in the field of media and journalism but also in terms of working closely with others, coping with tight deadlines, and making the most of the resources available to them.

This year, our news team included more than 25 Year 8 students. The effort and enthusiasm displayed by all of them was very impressive and they each enjoyed their experience of 'making the news'. We hope you enjoyed this year's report. You can also watch previous reports by visiting our BBC News Report page.
