We are delighted to be working in conjunction with the University of Winchester in preparing an education offer for the residents of Kings Barton.
Although we will remain two separate education establishments we will be working closely together to provide an education campus that will serve this new residential development in Winchester. The new Barton Farm Academy will be a 420 place academy for children aged 4-11. It will be sponsored by the University of Winchester Academy Trust and it is planned that it will open to its first children in the September 2018 school year.
The Primary Academy will join the Henry Beaufort cluster and will become an integral part of the partnership working that already exists between Henry Beaufort and its catchment primary schools of Harestock, Weeke, Kings Worthy, South Wonston, Sparsholt and Micheldever and Itchen Abbas.
The Henry Beaufort School will be expanding in order to cater for the new students in the area. This is an exciting time for the school and community and we will be updating every step of the way.
We are looking forward to working with Kings Barton Primary Academy, Hampshire County Council and CALA Homes to establish a seamless transition for students from their primary school to their local catchment secondary school, as well as accomodate in-year transfers for new students to the area.
