Welcome

High attainers succeed at Henry Beaufort School

The school offers its congratulations to past students Thomas Hilbourne and Daniel Ryan (leavers 2012).  Thomas has been offered a place at Clare College, Cambridge to read Natural Sciences and Daniel has been offered a place to read Geography at Christ’s College, Cambridge.

We are very pleased that in the last 4 years a total of 13 past Henry Beaufort students have been offered places to study at Oxbridge.

Henry Beaufort School has an excellent track record with students who are high attainers.

This has been confirmed in the recently published Secondary School Performance Tables for 2014 when 98% of all high attaining students achieved the national benchmark figure of 5 or more GCSE’s at grade C or above including Maths and English. This percentage is the same or higher than other local schools. The national figure for high attainers is 92.8%.

A*/A grades form a significant part of the school's overall GCSE results with many traditional GCSE subjects achieving 50% of results at A*/A.

In Maths 27% of Year 11 attained A*/A.

In the single GCSE sciences of Biology, Chemistry and Physics over half of the students attained A*/A.

53% of students studying textiles attained A*/A.

In Music 61% of students studying this subject attained A*/A.

In the Modern Foreign Languages department where students can study French, German and Spanish, students achieved A* to C pass rates in excess of 90%.  In Spanish 88% of students attained A*/A grade.

In the current Year 11 students who took their English Literature a year early resulted in 100% of students achieving an A* to C pass rate with 63% achieving either an A* or A grade.

If you are looking for a secondary school place for September 2015 or 2016 where high attaining students are guaranteed success, please contact Mrs Harper, the Head’s PA at the school to arrange an appointment.   A few school places are currently available for Years 8 and 9.
