Henry's Kindergarten Day Nursery
Henry's Kindergarten is a purpose built nursery set within the grounds of The Henry Beaufort School. We cater for 47 children aged from 3 months to 5 years. We are open daily from 8am - 6pm for 51 weeks a year. The Nursery has received an “outstanding” report for Early Years Education from OFSTED.
The Nursery has three main rooms, divided by developmental stages and staffed by qualified, experienced and caring staff. Each provides a
stimulating, fun, and varied program to suit the needs of growing infants all the way to pre-school children. The nursery's Sensory Room is a shared resource for all children.
Outside, there is a set of playgrounds for children to explore, ride trikes, climb and play games, alongside a Nature Garden (named the 'Magic Garden' by the children) to dig, grow vegetables, build camps and search for insects. The children are also taken on supervised walks, about the school grounds and out to explore the wider world.
The staff ensure that every activity has a clear purpose, enabling the children’s learning and development at every opportunity, and taking an active role in planning and delivering a well-balanced curriculum aimed at meeting the children’s individual needs. Our Nursery Cooks cater for all dietary needs and meals are prepared and cooked freshly each day.
The Nursery holds a waiting list and prioritises space for teaching staff, Hampshire County Council, and Peter Symonds employees.
