Visit to Deaf World

Students and staff from the hearing impaired unit at Henry Beaufort went along to this year’s Deaf World event at The Guildhall in Winchester. Deaf World is the South Coast’s largest annual deaf exhibition and it provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about different organisations.

Students and staff from the hearing impaired unit at Henry Beaufort went along to this year’s Deaf World event at The Guildhall in Winchester.

Deaf World is the South Coast’s largest annual deaf exhibition and it provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about different organisations and events. It also gave students a chance to see people of all ages signing. The students particularly enjoyed meeting the hearing dogs for the deaf and, after making friends with the Hampshire Police force, they even had their photos taken on a police bike!

The day was a huge success and the school is already looking forward to attending next year’s event.
