For many members of the team this was their first taste of competitive hockey. The competition involved eight different teams from five different schools. These teams were split into two groups for the group stages.

In the first match they drew with Thornden, then won their second match against Toynbee and lost the third match to Kings. Finishing runners-up in the group they qualified for the semi-finals, where they faced an unbeaten Romsey side. The boys played extremely well, growing in confidence and showed some really good skills. A single goal from Cameron Botting after some great individual skill by Ben Firrell, provided the goal that sent them through to the final.

The final match was a crunch match against group winners Kings. They played extremely well and there was nothing to divide the two teams at the end of normal time. After extra time the scores were still level and it was decided that it would be a draw and both teams would be crowned the winners.

The team all played extremely well, improving match by match. Well done to Ben Firrell (captain), Andrew Wilson, Cameron Botting, Harry Masters, Taylor Stephenson, Alex Lloyd, Will Freemantle, Jack Mattia and Adam Day.
