Junior Maths Challenge winners
Henry Beaufort students win a number of certificates in national maths competition
Pupils at The Henry Beaufort School achieved a number of awards in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. Over 250,000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge, where Henry Beaufort received one gold, 12 silvers and 24 bronzes. The top 6% of the 250,000 that entered received a gold certificate, with 13% achieving silver and 21% bronze.
We are pleased to announce Bethan Eastwood, Year 8, won a number of certificates including Best in School, Best in Year and a Gold. Jessica Duke, Year 7, also won Best in Year. A brilliant achievement for both!
The Junior Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and is aimed at those in Years 7 and 8, and is sat in school. For further information on the challenge, please contact Mrs Humphreys.
