Building Bridges 2013 - 2015

‘Building Bridges’ is a project that began with the literal and moved gradually to the metaphorical. Modern technology and the engineering behind some of the world's most famous bridges were discussed during online activities and at our weekly Comenius Club. Students and staff from many different backgrounds demonstrated improved language skills during trips abroad, which they bought back to use in the classroom. They were also motivated to develop new life and communicative skills during the course of the project, and perhaps most importantly, developed lasting friendships. Learning to build a literal bridge was only a very small element of a project that really proved the value of 'building a bridge' of communication, cooperation, understanding, tolerance and friendship between our partnership of European schools.
