Question and Answer Event 15th October 2020
The Henry Beaufort School Senior Leadership Team participated in a Live Question and Answer Session on 15th October 2020.
A recording of the event has been made and appears below for you to view.
Departmental Videos and challenges
There are a number of short videos from each department these will give you further insight into our curriculum as well as a tour of the school to help familiarise you with our site. Each department has also created a set of challenges for your child to complete to give them an insight into our independent learning ethos. These can be access by clicking onto the tabs on the right hand side.
Regretfully with the on-going CV-19 situation we have made the decision to cancel our Open events in September and October. I am sure you appreciate that with over 1000 students on the school site operating in year group bubbles, it would be impossible to operate our usual Open morning and Evening events.
However, we do appreciate how important it is for you to be informed about how our school community works so we have replaced the Open events with a virtual, on line tour of our school which includes contributions from all subject areas as well as from some of our students. There will also be a filmed version of the Headteacher presentation to parents. We intend to make this an interactive event for you and your child/children to enjoy.
We are currently working on creating this event and we anticipate that it will be available to coincide with what would have been our Open Event Dates on the 10th and 11th September 2020. Please check on our school website nearer the time.
If you have any questions that you would like us to answer that you believe have not been covered in the presentations please contact the school using the following email address.
I do hope that we will be able to resume our Open Events in 2021. In the meantime we are happy to assist in any way that we can through email- firstname.lastname@example.org
Unfortunately due to Government Guidance and the current restrictions surrounding COVID 19 we will no longer be holding our Taster Days which were due to be held on Tuesday the 30th June 2020 and Wednesday 1st July 2020.
We were looking forward to showing you around the school and giving you an enjoyable day of lesson experiences, orientation tasks, and meeting our teachers.
As this is not currently possible please click here to view a Year 5 Open Morning video by our Headteacher, Sue Hearle.
We hope that further guidance will be available to us for the next academic year.
What are Taster Days?
Taster Days offer out of catchment Year 5 pupils a chance to sample a day at The Henry Beaufort School. The Taster Days will take place in February and June and include various activities such as lesson experiences, orientation tasks, and meeting our teachers. Most importantly, it is a chance to find out whether The Henry Beaufort is the right school for your child. Please email your interest to Admin@staff.beaufort.hants.sch.uk
Year 5 is a good time to start to think about choosing a Secondary School. At The Henry Beaufort School we welcome families of Year 5 children to tour the school. Please contact the Heads PA if you wish to arrange an appointment to tour the school. Email: Admin@staff.beaufort.hants.sch.uk
For our in catchment pupils the Headteacher will be attending an Assembly at all in catchment Primary Schools during the Summer Term to talk to Year 5 students and their parents. In addition you are very welcome to attend one of our open events. Please see the website for further details.
