On Sunday 18th May, The Henry Beaufort School will be proudly taking part in the Romsey Relay Marathon, with 20 members of staff forming two teams, Team Henry and Team Beaufort.
This year, our students have chosen to support Naomi House, Children’s Hospice (Wessex Children's Hospice Trust) a local charity that provides and offers care and support to children with health conditions. Inspired by their choice, staff have taken up the challenge of raising £2000 in support of this vital cause.
This type of student led initiative is a great example of our school’s vision in action. The Henry Beaufort School celebrate the success of our students at every opportunity. We place great value on our cultural enrichment programme and take delight in the buzz and energy around the school site well beyond the official ending of the school day. There is no better example of this than our students encouraging the school community to come together for such a meaningful event.
We have had some wonderful entries to our Poetry Escape competition. Congratulations to all entrants, runners-up, and especially our winners!
With 120 entries from students across all year groups, the standard was incredibly high, making it a very tough decision for our judges. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to write and submit their poems. Your hard work and creativity truly shone through.
We’re also excited to share that many of these entries have been submitted to the Young Writers national competition. I’ll be keeping a close eye on any updates and will let you know as soon as we hear anything!
Well done to all our winners — we’re so proud of you!
We are incredibly proud of our former student, Georgia Davies, and her band, (pictured above in the black dress), The Last Dinner Party, for winning Best New Artist at this year’s Brit Awards. This prestigious award recognises outstanding emerging talent, and it is fantastic to see Georgia and her bandmates receiving such well-deserved recognition.
Georgia studied her GCSEs at The Henry Beaufort School before going on to pursue her passion for music. Her journey from our classrooms to the Brit Awards stage is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to have played a part in her education. Her dedication and talent are a testament to what can be achieved with hard work and ambition.
At The Henry Beaufort School, we are committed to supporting and inspiring our students to follow their dreams, whether in music, the arts, science, or any other field. Who knows? Your journey could start here too.
Join us at our Open Events to discover how we help students reach their full potential.
A huge congratulations to Georgia and her bandmates on this incredible achievement.

The Theatre Royal Winchester set the stage for an unforgettable experience as students from The Henry Beaufort School (HB) performed the musical ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’- Teen Edition.
The production tells the heartfelt story of Jamie New, a 16 year old who rises above prejudice to embrace his true self and step into the spotlight. Themes of self-acceptance, resilience, and the strength of community echoed through the performance, aligning perfectly with HB’s core values of Pride, Happiness, and Ambition.
