  • GCSE RESULTS 2025

    Published 21/08/25

As expected, students at The Henry Beaufort School have produced an excellent set of results. Our core subjects of English, Maths and Science remain consistently high.

Students continue to make great progress at The Henry Beaufort School, translating this into positive outcomes that give them access to further education. Across the 30 subjects, the average Grade was a 5+; all students have demonstrated ambition by attaining above the nationally agreed Grade 4 pass.

We are delighted to have seen significant increases in students attaining grade 7 and above and across the curriculum, which evidences our students’ engagement with the school’s bespoke high attaining teaching and learning offer.

A number of students achieved an average of grade 9 across all of their subjects. Well done to Eloise, Douglas, Bethan, Jom, David, Lucy and Mark.

Our exceptional Modern Foreign Language department delivered above 90% grade 4 or better, with French and Spanish achieving over half of all entries at grade 7 or above.

Other outstanding student outcomes were seen in Music, with 92% grade 5 or better, and 57% grade 7 or above, which evidences the impact of the school’s comprehensive wider performing arts focus.

Engineering GCSE, an offer unique to our school in this area, delivered results at 70% grade 5 or better, with 31% at grade 7 or above.

    Sue Hearle, Headteacher, said:

‘It has been very hard to single out subjects this year as we celebrate another year of consistently high performance. I am particularly proud and delighted with these results because these are young people who missed a significant amount of their education in the last year of their primary education and the first year of secondary school. It is testament to their hard work and the dedication of The Henry Beaufort School staff that we are celebrating another year of success for the school community.’

  • Student Success

    Published 18/08/25

At The Henry Beaufort School, we believe there are no limits to success, our students continue to show what can be achieved through ambition, teamwork, and determination.

Our current student Molly and her football team celebrated an incredible season, collecting their medals at St Mary’s as U15 Division 1 League Runners Up, for the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League. A fantastic result that reflects resilience and the joy of working together as a team.

Molly then went on to represent her sport again, this time in the pool, as she headed to Liverpool for the U16 Interregional Water Polo Tournament. What a brilliant opportunity to showcase her talent across two very different sports.

We are also proud to recognise the achievements of former student Ben, who secured the overall win at Eton. His success is a powerful reminder that the values of Pride, Happiness, and Ambition remain with our students long after they leave us.

Well done Molly and Ben, we are so proud of you.

  • Farewell to Year 11 2025

    Published 10/07/25

Every journey has a destination.  Some journeys are circular and end where they started with the comfort of the familiar.  Others take you to new places where you are pushed beyond your comfort zone.

Your start at HB was a little like this, removed from the familiarity of your primary school into an environment that you had only seen online and through the eyes of Mr Janes as he toured the school on your behalf behind the lens of a camera.

It wasn't the start we wanted for you, meeting teachers behind face masks and visors making it more difficult for you to adjust, and whilst I don't want to dwell on those times, I do want to acknowledge how hard that must have made it for you.

But you have more than made up for that bumpy start on your journey to Year 11. As

you spend your final few hours in our school uniform,  I would like you to reflect on your own personal journey.  For some that journey may have been more difficult than for others but I hope that all of you found friends to support you on the way.

But all of you here have stayed on the journey, working to give yourself the very best opportunities for success and success comes in many forms, not just in GCSE certificates.

Your contribution to sports, expressive arts, to leadership has been immense and, in these contributions, you leave a lasting legacy for your school.

I am so proud of the young adults you have become. I have had the privilege of working with many of you, as student hosts and leaders, in student voice discussions,

accompanying you on school trips and in class as your teacher.

I have seen you at your best, sometimes when the worst is happening.

What all those occasions have in common is your resilience, your compassion, your sense of humour, even your undeniable insistence that you were right, and I was wrong!

All of these times are bound together in the history you have created as the Leavers of 2025.

Your journey has been 5 years in the making, and it won't be circular, ending where you started and nor should it be. Because the biggest adventure is about to start. You and only you can determine where it goes next. Your teachers have done their job, they have given you so much more than a bank of knowledge and subject skills, they have given you the confidence and self-assertiveness to take the next step, I know you have and will thank them.

I know that they are a remarkable group of people, so if you haven't yet had time to acknowledge that with those who taught you, supported you, stood by you, please find the time to do so.

  • Romsey Relay Marathon for Naomi House

    Published 06/04/25

On Sunday 18th May, The Henry Beaufort School will be proudly taking part in the Romsey Relay Marathon, with 20 members of staff forming two teams, Team Henry and Team Beaufort.

This year, our students have chosen to support Naomi House, Children’s Hospice (Wessex Children's Hospice Trust) a local charity that provides and offers care and support to children with health conditions. Inspired by their choice, staff have taken up the challenge of raising £2000 in support of this vital cause.

This type of student led initiative is a great example of our school’s vision in action. The Henry Beaufort School celebrate the success of our students at every opportunity. We place great value on our cultural enrichment programme and take delight in the buzz and energy around the school site well beyond the official ending of the school day. There is no better example of this than our students encouraging the school community to come together for such a meaningful event.
