Maths Inspiration

Students from The Henry Beaufort School recently took part in the Maths Inspiration Show at St Swithun’s School in Winchester, a national programme designed to spark curiosity and excitement about mathematics among teenagers. The event featured dynamic talks on topics such as earthquakes and engineering challenges, The Shape of Escape, and Patterns, Predictions and Juggling – each demonstrating how maths plays a vital role in understanding and solving real-world problems. With inspiring speakers and interactive presentations, the trip gave students aged 14–17 a fresh perspective on maths beyond the classroom, showing its creativity, relevance, and power.
