Another outstanding year at The Henry Beaufort School

Today, Year 11 students at The Henry Beaufort School (HB) are celebrating their GCSE results, marking the end of five years of learning, achievement and memories.

At The Henry Beaufort School, there are no limitations to success. We are ambitious for every student and proud of our tradition as an inclusive comprehensive school where students are happy, supported and able to thrive.

As expected, students at The Henry Beaufort School have produced an excellent set of GCSE results, with consistently positive outcomes across English, Maths and Science. 81% of students achieved Grades 9 – 4 in Maths, while 86% achieved Grades 9 – 4 in English. Across 30 subjects, the average Grade achieved was 5+, with these results enabling students to access further education and confidently take their next steps beyond The Henry Beaufort School.

The Henry Beaufort School has maintained its position as a as a top 20% pass rate school nationally.

The Henry Beaufort School is particularly proud to celebrate the achievements of Year 11 students who attained Grades 7 and above across a range of subjects. Their results reflect the ambition and hard work of these students, supported by the school’s provision. A number of students also achieved an average Grade of 9 across all of their subjects. Congratulations to Anna and Matt who achieved Grade 9s in all subjects.

Alongside their academic success, we are also proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students beyond the classroom. From sporting achievements and representing teams at local, regional and national level, to music, drama, leadership and wider contributions to school life, our students have made their mark across The Henry Beaufort Community. These achievements reflect the breadth of talent within Year 11 and will be celebrated further at our Presentation of Certificates evening in November.

Miss Hearle, Head Teacher, The Henry Beaufort School said:

“It has been a joyous morning of celebration for our students, their families and our staff. I am delighted that the relentless hard work of our students and my colleagues has been rightly rewarded. It has been a privilege to see our young people progress and achieve as part of The Henry Beaufort Community, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished during their time with us.”

Mr and Mrs Ernsberger, Year 11 HB Parents, said:

“Ollie and all his friends have had some terrific results today, and I think we have to always remember that this generation of children joined secondary school at the very end of the pandemic. I am grateful that The Henry Beaufort School was on a journey with us as his parents, to make this work for him and all of his friends.”

Ollie, Year 11 HB Student, said:

“Loved school, and the enthusiasm and hard work is reflected in my results, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself.”

The Henry Beaufort School takes great pride in offering a wide range of cultural and extracurricular opportunities, ensuring that learning extends well beyond the classroom. The energy and excitement across the school, even after the official school day ends, reflect The Henry Beaufort School’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, ambitious students.

This year’s results highlight how hard work and ambition really do pay off.

The Henry Beaufort School is proud of its role in the academic development of young people. While education comes with its challenges, The Henry Beaufort School is constantly working to improve its practice and aims to be outstanding in everything it does.
