Yes I went to Peter Symonds College

I had a wonderful time at Henry Beaufort and am still friends with a number of people I was at school with after 35+ years. The teachers who inspired me were Noel Thorpe-Tracy, Mr Pearson, Mr Brett and Mr Grainger-Allen among others.
Henry Beaufort School taught me a lot which I didn’t realise until I had a few more decades under my belt. There is nothing in particular that springs to mind, it is more a culmination of things which only make sense as you get older. The most wonderful thing Henry Beaufort School gave to me was life-long friendships.
From 18-23, I moved from job to job, learning from each one until the day came when I would use all those snippets of experience I’d gained in one place. This helped me to stand out a little more from my peers.
Since my school days, I have achieved what some might consider a lot. I had a stint on the catwalks, built a good-sized I.T Company, co-owned a Financial Services Group, lived abroad with my wife for 7 years on a tropical island in a beachfront penthouse and today, I am the owner of a high-end luxury magazine.
Even though I’ve been fortunate or more so lucky in my working life, If someone gave me the opportunity to go back to school with the chance to live a life without the stresses and pressures modern day adult-life brings, I would have to think long and hard about it. Being an adult has as many downsides as it does upsides, so if you are of a younger vintage than I, don’t take your youth for granted, as you get older, the years seems to pass much faster.
