The Henry Beaufort School hosted a spectacular Christmas Extravaganza on Wednesday 17th December, bringing together students and staff from across the school community for an unforgettable evening of performance and creativity.
This large-scale production, held every two years, showcased a unique collaboration between Physical Education and the Expressive Arts, including music, drama, dance, art and gym. Students from all year groups took part, highlighting the breadth of talent and opportunity available at The Henry Beaufort School.
The evening featured performances from the Orchestra, Resonate Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Hampshire Music Service Rock to the Beat Bands, Dance Club, and Gym Club, all led and rehearsed by dedicated staff. Alongside the performers on stage, our students also took charge of stage management, photography, videography, lighting and more, showcasing the incredible talent behind the scenes as well as in the spotlight.
The programme also included several students’ exciting collaborative pieces, from music paired with visual art to gym and music working together. Several students earned prestigious solo and band performance slots through auditions, with the concert embracing a wide range of musical styles.
The night ended with a spectacular high-energy performance from the Jazz Band paired with an impressive tumbling routine from the Gym Club.
