Visit to Vietnam made possible with government grant.
Plans to strengthen global partnership with Xa Dan Mute & Deaf School are supported by new funding.
Plans to visit Vietnam and strengthen the partnership with Xa Dan Mute & Deaf School have been made possible thanks to the successful application for a DFID Global School Partnerships grant.
The grant, funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), will enable teachers from Henry Beaufort to meet, discuss and plan joint curricular projects with teachers at Xa Dan, Hanoi.
The aim of the partnership is to explore and exchange effective practice for the teaching and learning of hearing impaired students, whilst exposing students to similarities and differences in lifestyle, culture and values, with particular focus on deaf culture and disability groups.
