Any Questions

 Jonathan Dimbleby

Henry Beaufort School will be hosting the 60th Anniversary edition of the all time favourite current affairs radio programme Any Questions?

The very first Any Questions? was broadcast from Winchester on 12th October 1948, the programme now attracts some 1.5 million listeners every week and this anniversary edition will be broadcast live on Friday evening 10th October. It also coincides with the first week back at parliament after the summer recess so it will be a great opportunity for the local community to participate in some lively political debate!

The chairman of Any Questions? is Jonathan Dimbleby and the panel will consist of distinguished figures from Politics, Journalism, Arts, Science Business and other areas of public life.

Confirmed panellists for 10th October are:

• Baroness Shirley Williams

• Deputy Labour Leader Harriet Harman

Further information to follow.

The programme is keen to encourage participation from members of the public who will play a positive role in the broadcast, think about topical issues beforehand and contribute useful questions, bearing in mind the events of that week and the interests of the panel.

If you want to attend we need questions from you to make the best possible programme, so please prepare some short questions and be prepared to ask one on air.

Questions chosen regularly touch on political, economic, social and moral issues of the day. As the programme is broadcast to a UK wide audience, questions based on purely local issues are unlikely to be chosen unless they raise matters of genuine national interest.
