International Badminton Trip

30 students went to the NIA, Birmingham to watch the The Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships. These students were selected as they all regularly attend Badminton Club after school.

On Tuesday 4th March a coach of 30 students went to the NIA, Birmingham to watch the The Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships. These students were selected as they all regularly attend Badminton Club after school.

It is one of the oldest and most prestigious open badminton tournaments in the world. The high intensity, electric crowds and the fast-paced badminton action on offer at the Championships symbolises why it’s at the top of its game.

The world’s best players come together to battle it out under the National Indoor Arena roof in Birmingham, England  for what can only be described as a world class sporting event at its best! The students had the opportunity to watch the top players internationally in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. They were all surprised about the speed of the game when played at its best!

An excellent day was had by all – thank you to Mr King, Miss Attwood and Miss Main for taking the students.
