Year 10 take a bite out of circle theorems

Year 10's enjoy a unique method of learning circle theorems

This week, Year 10 enjoyed ‘eating their work’ as they were introduced to circle theorems for the first time in Maths. Mrs Doherty explained each theorem to the class in the form of icing rich tea biscuits. She explained each theorem to the group, who then recreated them on their own biscuits using an icing pen.

Once the class had enjoyed what one student called the “best Maths lesson ever!”, they were allowed to eat their newly decorated biscuits. The students reported the method of learning helped them to remember because it was unique and fun!
