The Henry Beaufort School Maths Challenge is now in its second year. The Challenge is open to all pupils in Years 5 and 6, aiming to provide Maths enrichment and problem solving skills among the pupils in the catchment and wider area.
The challenge encourages all students who enter to share their working - the Maths department are looking for solutions that are unique and show a high level of thinking, so pupils should be sure to submit all of their working, clearly labelled.
Once completed, all entrants are invited to attend a presentation evening on the 1st December at 5pm in Drama 1, The Henry Beaufort School. We are pleased to announce that the University of London's Professor David Cohen will be presenting the pupils with certificates, with prizes for the best entries. Professor Cohen, who teaches Computer Science and Robotics having studied for a PhD in Pure Maths, will also be give a short presentation on the Maths involved in his research.
