Member of staff to compete in Strictly for charity

Science teacher Mrs Gould has been selected to take part in this year’s Southampton Does Strictly to raise money for Where There’s a Will which supports the families of critically ill patients in intensive care at Southampton General Hospital. She has been paired with professional dance teacher Danny from Dance Yourself Dizzy who is currently teaching her the Modern Jive. Together they will have to perform a 90 second routine against 11 other competitors from across Hampshire in front of a panel of judges.

The whole thing is being run by Heather Parsons who shot to fame when she appeared on The People’s Strictly for Comic Relief for all her hard work setting up the charity and volunteering at the hospital. Hundreds of people are expected to turn up to the event in July where spectators will be treated to a three-course meal as well as a performance from a professional dancing couple and a disco afterwards.

The Henry Beaufort School are proud to support Mrs Gould’s hardwork in training for such a worthwhile cause and have donated the use of the dance studio to allow her and Danny rehearse. Good luck to you both!

You can find Mrs Gould's JustGiving page here to donate.
