Headteacher's Letter - October '16

18 October 2016

Dear Parents

As you may be aware this is the time of year when the school receives the outcomes from GCSE appeals we have placed on behalf of a number of students.

I am delighted to inform you that as a result of these appeals the school’s Gold Standard has now increased from 74% to 75%.

Maths GCSE A*-  C grades has risen from 84% to 85% and English GCSE A*- C grades have risen from 82% to 83%. English Literature has risen from 83% to 84%.

This places the school within the top 10 schools in Hampshire for Gold standard results.

I know that you will share in our delight at this news and feel as proud of The Henry Beaufort School as I do.

If you have visited the school in the last few weeks you will be aware that the school buildings are being redecorated, a further example of the Local Authorities investment in the school.  The media suite has opened and I would like to thank the Parents Association for their very generous financial contribution to the creation of this new facility for our students.

The Parent’s association has also asked us to pass on to you an easy way to raise money for the school that won’t cost you a penny!

Could I also remind parents that if children are cycling to and from school they must be wearing a cycle helmet and reflective clothing.

Kind regards

Miss Hearle
