This Theorem, although very easy to state and understand was not finally proved until the last years of the 20th Century.  It is a great example of how professional mathematicians, just like students at Henry Beaufort, can get things in Maths wrong and need discussion and input from others to solve problems.  Except that it took the professionals about 400 years to do this problem.
