Year 7 Languages Day

On the 27 September all students in Year 7 spent a day off timetable to celebrate the European Day of Languages.  The day began with an assembly on why languages are so important and relevant in today’s world, including how One Direction are now learning languages!

Everybody had a French breakfast of croissants and orange juice before taking part in several workshops which included learning about European culture, the origins of words and why languages are important.  Students also took part in taster sessions in Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese.

Congratulations to Year 7 for participating so well.
