YOUNG MINDS  - A mental health charity for young people in need of support and for parents who are worried about their child.  The parent’s helpline is 08088025544 for detailed advice, emotional support and signposting about a young person up to the age of 25. You will find a number  of resources to help with mental health and to empower all young minds whatever the challenges in life. This also covers your child at University to make sure they get the best possible mental health support and have the    resilience to overcome their difficulties.

CHILDLINE  - You can talk about anything if you are under 19 with any issues big or small. They will give advice about a wide range of issues on the phone or you can talk to a counsellor online, send Childline an email or post on the message boards.

NHS MENTAL HEALTH TRIAGE  - This service provides advice, support and guidance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for anyone living in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is a crisis line that has a wide range of skills, ncluding on the phone brief psychological support and has access to key services and organisations that can offer mental health support to people in  their time of need.



THE ANNA FREUD INSTITUTE is a leading mental health charity whose mission is to transform the experience of children, young people and their  families with mental health. Another brilliant website that is full of helpful  resources for parents and children. You will find Coronavirus support, support for early years, mental health and tips on self- care.   





NSPCC  - They provide therapeutic services to help children move on from abuse, as well as supporting parents and families in caring for their children.

They work closely with Childline and are responsible for providing protection for children from being abused or neglected.

The Charlie Waller Trust - Supporting children and their families with Mental Health


KOOTH offers free, safe and anonymous online counselling and support for 11-25 year olds. Kooth has been commissioned by NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight.
